Waiter or
Waitress -
There are a few ways to look at a
dream about waiters or waitresses. If it is a pleasant dream in
which the waiter is providing good service and you are ordering something
wonderful, then you may be feeling you deserve to have others do things for you.
Or you may be proud of an accomplishment you have recently completed and are
congratulating yourself in your dream. You can also look at
the pun, "waiting." Are you waiting on someone or something? If your
waiter/waitress experience is not a good one, you may feel you are not getting
things from others that you are asking.
Waking Up -
Did you dream of waking up? Then you may be at a moment of enlightenment.
Are you opening your mind to something that you had not recognized or given
credit to before? You may also be at a new stage of your life. This
can be the beginning of a "new day," so to speak, in your life.
Walking -
Are you walking to something that
seems further and further away? Then there is a goal you are trying to
reach that you feel you are unable to attain no matter what you do. If you
are having a pleasant walk outside, you are connecting to nature.
You may be experiencing a time when you are recognizing your own natural state.
It is a comfortable and worry free state. Remember, if you are walking as
opposed to driving, you are forced to slow down and become more in tune with
yourself and your surroundings.
Wall
- How was the wall depicted? If you are at a wall you cannot climb, you
have clearly reached a "brick wall" in your life. You feel you are at a
place you cannot move away from. There is something you cannot get around.
You may also feel in prison, such as in a job or relationship. If you
climb the wall, then you are able to surmount things that seem to stand in your
way. Reaching the top of the wall is certainly a wonderful and
exhilarating experience.
Wallet
- A wallet can represent your feelings of self-worth. If it is filled with
money, you are probably stable financially or satisfied with who and what you
are. If you lose your wallet, it may be a sign that you are out of control
financially or are nervous about your finances. Showing a full wallet to
someone is a sign you are "laying yourself out" to someone - "showing your
cards" so to speak.
Wallpaper
- If you are putting up wallpaper, you are covering something up in your life.
You may also be trying to hide something from someone. Taking off
wallpaper shows you are stripping layers away to reveal the truth.
Walnut
- Walnuts can be a sign of hard work and fruition.
Walrus
- Do you try to be the "top dog" in the pack? Dreaming of a walrus may be
a sign of that. It may also indicate you are thinking of someone else who
is dominant and controlling. It also shows a "thick skin."
Waltz
- You have someone close you feel strongly about. Someone has made you
feel very special. It is a perfect match of movement and motion with
someone.
War
- You might be feeling there is a
war inside of yourself. Are you struggling between right and wrong?
Is there an issue you are undecided on in your life? If you are waging war
on someone, there is a certain conflict between you and that person. This
is also true of someone is waging war on you. If so, you feel they are
attacking you.
Warmth
- If you feel warmth, you are experiencing love, happiness and comfort.
Washing
- You are cleaning away bad feelings or negative issues in your life. It
is a sign of "washing things out of your hair." A change of attitude or
outlook.

- The passing of time. If a watch is a gift, you may feel they are
providing enough "time" to you for the development of a relationship. It
can also mean you do not feel rushed - that "time is on you side."
Water
- Water is a sign of energy. It can also show your emotions and also
things that are found in the unconscious (under the surface). Running
water may be flowing emotions or perhaps even a journey.
Weather
- The weather will show you
current emotions held inside. Sunny is a sunny disposition, stormy shows
you have swirling emotions inside, while rainy can either be comfort or a
feeling of things coming down on you. Look in to your subconscious to find
what the weather in your dream represents.
Web
- A web is something you feel you may be caught up in. Are you looking at
a web that may trap you? This may indicate an unhealthy relationship with
someone that is trying to trap you. Also look at the "web you weave" in
your life. The circle of the web may also show the "web" of your life -
the circle of your family and friends.
Wedding
- A wedding doesn't always symbolize an actual wedding ceremony. When two
are wed, it can be two ideas coming together, as in a marriage of beliefs,
ideals or thoughts. Think about a situation in your life that is merging
with something else or with new insights. A wedding dream can also be at
face value. You might be wishing to be married or contemplating what a marriage
might be like for you.
Weeds - If you are
weeding in your dream, you are removing thoughts or feelings from your life that
are unhealthy. Imagine pulling out the bad so the good can flourish.
A weed can symbolize something that is negative in your life or in your
thoughts. For instance, a garden full of weeds may show that there are
negative things in your thoughts or life that should be removed because they are
invading the good.
Well - A well may
symbolize your unconscious thoughts. It is deep and dark, with things that
are unknown to you hidden below. This does not have to be a negative
connotation of a well. Rather, it may be a sign that you can look deep
inside the well (your subconscious) to find things about yourself that will
benefit your waking life.
Werewolf - Dreaming
of a werewolf will bring about fear - and that is exactly what a werewolf
represents. A werewolf can also show a woman's fear over a masculine
force.
Whale - A whale is a
powerful force, often representing reproduction or the core of masculinity and
femininity. It can also symbolize something old and powerful, whether in
your past or in your current state of mind.
Wheat -
Fruitfulness, fertility and abundance.
Wheel - Dreaming of
a wheel can show something coming full circle. It also shows us the "circle of
life," or something complete.
Whipping - If you
dream of being whipped, someone has lashed out at you and hurt you. Of
course this does not have to be a person. It can be anything hurtful that
gives a "sting" of pain.
Widow - Are you
feeling alone or left behind? Or are you a man dreaming of a widow -
wanting to protect her and make her whole again? Being widowed means being
halved, in a sense. Part of you is gone that is probably permanent.
Are you feeling like someone or something has left you? Or do you have a
fear of aloneness?
Wig
- You are covering up something, as a wig does. Or perhaps you are trying
to hide something personal about yourself from others. If someone else is
wearing a wig in your dream, you may feel they are hiding something from you.
Windy - If it is
windy, there are strong feelings surging through you or around you. This
may be a sign of change coming your way. It can also show emotions that
are swirling around you.
Wine - Wine
symbolizes the fruit of life. It is also related to religion and religious
beliefs. Dreaming of wine may show a spiritual feeling you are
experiencing, or can show fertility, abundance and fruitfulness.
Witch (Warlock)
- Dreaming of either a witch or a warlock shows a sign of power. Is there
something you feel has power over you? Or are you the witch/warlock,
projecting power on someone else. You may also be feeling someone is
concocting a scheme against you, and that they are gaining power from this plan.
Wizard
- A wizard is known to be a wise person with powerful skills. You may be
seeing someone that you feel has magical skills or great power. If you are
the wizard, you feel you have powers of your own.
Woman
- A woman represents femininity, motherhood and feelings of "home." Many
women speaking together can represent gossip. An older woman shows wisdom
or age. Dreaming of a woman can also give you a clue as to what your
desires are, depending on what the woman is doing.
Wood
- If you see a pile of wood, it may show a lack of life or feeling. Think
about something that was living or growing that may be ruined or dead.

be a sign of your own personal skills and how you may use them. If you see
a workshop in the distance, you may be hoping to gain skills.

- Worms are often negative, showing signs of smallness or invasion. Do you
feel something or someone is feeding on you or invading your space? Or do
you feel "low," as in a worm?
Writing
- Your thoughts are becoming organized. You are fine-tuning an idea or
thought. Putting something on paper solidifies it.
